About the practice

You don't have to figure this out alone.

There is a particular kind of exhaustion that comes in the middle of life — not from doing too little, but from giving so much for so long that you have lost track of yourself along the way. Maybe you're watching your kids leave home and wondering who you are now. Maybe you're lying awake with anxiety that has no clean explanation, or carrying grief that keeps resurfacing no matter how hard you push it down. Maybe the faith that once anchored you no longer fits. Whatever brought you here, what you're feeling makes sense.

As a woman in midlife myself, I understand from the inside what it means to stand at one of those crossroads where the life you've built and the person you're becoming don't quite match yet. My work is about helping women find solid ground again — not by going back to who you were, but by discovering who you are becoming.

I also hold space carefully and without judgment for those navigating questions of faith, whether you are expanding your beliefs, questioning them, or healing from experiences that left wounds.

What is EMDR?

A research-backed way to move what hasn't budged.

Many women carry experiences they have never fully processed — things that happened years ago that still show up in their body, their relationships, or the way they see themselves. EMDR is a gentle but deeply effective approach that helps the brain and nervous system work through what talk therapy alone sometimes cannot reach.

It is not about reliving painful memories. It is about finally releasing them so they no longer have the same hold on you. Recognized by the WHO and APA as a first-line treatment for PTSD.

Phase 01

History & planning

We map the experiences and beliefs we want to work with, and build a plan together.

Phase 02

Preparation

You learn grounding and resourcing tools so you feel steady before, during, and after processing.

Phase 03

Reprocessing

Using bilateral stimulation, your brain reprocesses the memory so it loses its emotional charge.

Phase 04

Integration

We notice what has shifted, install adaptive beliefs, and close each session with you grounded.

Common questions

If something isn't here, reach out — I'm happy to answer questions before you book a consultation.

I am a private-pay practice. I provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Many PPO plans offer 50–80% reimbursement after a deductible is met.

Sessions take place over a HIPAA-compliant video platform. You'll need a private space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera. Many clients find virtual sessions just as effective as in-person — and far easier to fit into a real schedule.

It's a 15-minute video call where we talk about what brings you to therapy and whether my approach feels like a fit. There's no commitment and no charge.

It varies. Some clients see meaningful change on a single, focused issue in 6–12 sessions. Others — particularly those working with complex or developmental trauma — engage in longer-term work.

No. One thing many clients appreciate about EMDR is that it doesn't require lengthy verbal recounting of difficult memories. We work with the body and brain's processing, not with retelling.

Individual sessions are $175 for 53 minutes. The initial intake session is $200. I reserve a limited number of reduced-fee slots — please ask if cost is a barrier.
